I became interested in photography in July of 2005 during what would be my first of many backpacking adventures through the Sierra Nevada mountains of California.  The beauty of the California wilderness was unlike anything I’d ever seen, and the experience changed me forever.  I realized how small we humans are relative to the grandness of the earth, yet our existence has a very significant and undeniable impact on the environment.

I, personally, have been spending much of my time as of late evaluating my personal and professional principles and practices and effecting changes in them.  I believe that environmental preservation is positive, prudent and right, and experiencing nature untouched by humans reinforces this belief within me.

I strive to capture the beauty of the wild and share it with those who might never have a chance to see it in person.  I hope that these photographs inspire you as much as the scenes they compose have inspired me.
